Hi there! I’m Christian Weed, the author of Voice in the Void.

I began this blog in 2018 as a ministry to share my heart and thoughts with the world, much of which is the fruit of years of thinking, praying, research, and experience. I’m deeply interested in church culture, faithfulness to Scripture, following the ways of Jesus, and the intersection of theology, philosophy, and psychology.

My hope here is that you would find inspiration, challenge, and encouragement in pursuit of knowing God and being known by Him.

My wife, daughter, and I live in Flagstaff, AZ. We enjoy spending time together outdoors, reading, writing, and pursuing God’s call for us in this city.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing disc golf, listening to music, and having good conversation about God and surrounding myself with fellow people who love Jesus.

I have B.A. in religious studies and professional writing from the University of Wyoming. More importantly, I’m a lifelong learner and student of the Bible.

The name Voice in the Void was born out of my desire to speak about things in church and culture that I feel aren’t being explored or need greater emphasis. The name also reflects the truth that words are powerful; they have the power to give life and to destroy (Proverbs 18:21). Part of my love for writing comes from my love of language and how it shapes us. Voice in the Void is also an echo of the biblical creation story in Genesis in which the voice of God brought forth existence itself. Using my voice, my hope is that through the sharing of the ideas that God inspires in me, wherever you are, you might be inspired, impassioned, and encouraged in your own journey of encountering God and experiencing His love for you.
